Simonstown
The Meeting place
Situated in the picturesque village of Simon's Town along the bustling main road, The Meeting Place is a rather unique establishment created by talented owners Olivia Gain and Debbie Jaentsch. More than just a restaurant and coffee shop, it embraces a well stocked deli shop that offers a tempting selection of goodies from freshly baked bread to olive oils and preserves, as well as a treasure trove of interior accessories. The ambience is incredibly relaxed and for many regular clients it is like a home from home, with comfortable couches centered around an old fashioned cast iron fireplace, and a magazine rack stacked with plenty of reading material to peruse whilst enjoying your favourite cake and coffee.
Currently available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunch the buffet consists of an appetizing array of salads, roasted and marinated vegetables and assorted quiches, and ingredients will change daily depending on what is in season.
Separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus provide a wide choice of dishes depending on what time of day you arrive, and there is always a good selection of cakes and tarts available for mid-morning coffees and afternoon teas. Breakfasts are served until 12h30 and are popular throughout the week, with variations of the Eggs Florentine a hit with regulars. The lunch menu offers a selection of sandwich fillings with freshly baked bread, and the option to make up your own salad from an impressive list of deli ingredients. More substantial fare includes a superb gourmet beef burger topped with bacon and cheddar cheese. Recommendations on the dinner menu include the Salmon Trout served with baby spinach and a poached egg, and the Grilled Springbok with orange honey and thyme sauce.

Kirstenbosch
Silvertree Restaurant at Kirstenbosch Gargens
With ceilings soaring skywards and lots of wood and stone incorporated into the décor the restaurant has been carefully designed to compliment the majestic beauty of Kirstenbosch Gardens. Concertina glass doors fold right back to provide an excellent indoor-outdoor flow, and to allow uninterrupted views of the gardens and mountain backdrop. The interior is divided into two sections namely the Silvertree Deli and the more formal Silvertree Restaurant. Picnic baskets are available throughout the year from the deli, and in the summer months it is advisable to book for large parties.
The deli area has a superb patio with umbrella-like trees providing a natural canopy which allow diners to embrace the beautiful views in all directions. Divided into two sections by a large stone feature-fireplace, the deli area can be used for functions throughout the year. A well presented selection of cold meats, chicken , fish and salads together with freshly baked rolls, (including Ciabatta and Foccacia) allow diners the opportunity to create their own wholesome lunch. There are plenty of ice cold drinks including sparkling wine and ciders and a selection of pastries and cakes for dessert. Freshly baked scones and muffins are available throughout the day for those who wish to enjoy a mid morning coffee or afternoon tea.

The Silvertree Restaurant enjoys the same splendid views as the deli area and has an awning covered patio to provide plenty of shade for al fresco dining. A large bar ensures diners can enjoy a pre-dinner drink before dinner and soft green drapes, upholstered seating and carpeting add a touch of elegance to the light and spacious interior. A feature fireplace provides a cosy ambience on cold winter evenings. The menu offers a selection of dishes to suit all palates with favourites being the Linefish, Venison and Ostrich. The Silvertree Restaurant is a superb venue for weddings, gala dinners and corporate launches with set menus or buffet tailored to suit your requirements. Please note that there is no entrance fee to the gardens after 18h00 for those wishing to enjoy an evening at this venue.

CAMPS BAY
Blues
With sweeping views of Camps Bay beach and the Atlantic Ocean, a sexy Californian atmosphere and outstanding cuisine, Blues Restaurant has been a Cape Town favourite for more than 15 years.
Recently refurbished, it blends even more beautifully into its spectacular environment and has reaffirmed itself as one of Cape Town's ultimate dining experiences. Refurbishments include a new wine cellar featuring a large dining table for up to 12 people, ideal for private dinners and wine tastings and a glass-enclosed smoking section, seating up to 32 people, that guarantees The View.
The menu has kept a careful balance between old and new, but has stuck to the Blues basics of simplicity, authenticity and freshness. The summer menu hints to Asian inspiration with items such as Thai Style Calamari Salad on crunchy oriental greens and Pan Seared Ostrich Teriyaki with a smear of wasabi and drizzled with sake and soya.
Visit Blues and experience the true essence of Cape Town - fun, relaxed, trendy and upbeat..

GREENPOINT
Beluga
Beluga is a stylish eatery located in the Foundry, a wonderful 100 year old red-brick building that once housed one of the city's oldest metal works, now converted into a modern interior design and office centre in the heart of Green Point, an area that has become Cape Town's advertising, film and modelling district.
The restaurant complex consists of a 160 seat dining area offering the best of new cooking - plenty of robust flavours, interesting ingredients and generous portions - all backed up with impeccable and seamless service. In addition, there is a superb Cocktail Bar featuring great drinks and retro-cocktails, and a welcoming Café, which spills out on to an enclosed courtyard, serving light meals
At Beluga you will find it all: tantalizing foods, interesting wines, great cocktails and aperitifs, fine ports and cigars and the warmest welcome. It's a great dining experience for locals and visitors alike.
At Beluga we love cooking - and it shows - from the wood burning oven inside the restaurant where we bake and roast a variety of dishes, to our open display kitchen where you can see the cheerful bustle of some of the city's best chefs at work.
Our kitchen brigade is young and enthusiastic. Every day they roll up their sleeves and using the freshest and finest ingredients create a menu that is prepared with care and attention to detail.
FUNCTIONS
Beluga is the ideal venue for functions of any kind, from an intimate party for 10 friends to a formal gathering for 200 or more. The entire complex, including the courtyard seating area, can be hired: alternatively, sections of the restaurant, café, or bar can be booked separately.
The restaurant has been used for elaborate product launches, champagne and wine tastings, birthday bashes, cocktail parties, fashion shows and formal dinners.
Special menus are available for any occasion from an elegant lunch to a full five course dinner. We will gladly send you samples of our menus. In addition, we can arrange the hire of all audio visual equipment, microphones etc.
Also, Beluga is the number one choice of demanding tour operators and conference organizers when looking for a superior dining experience backed up by impeccable service. Because of the unique setting, the fine fare, and the outstanding selection of fine Cape wines, Beluga is high on the list of dining experiences for visitors to the city.
